Publish article of a member of the university faculty in Nature Nanotechnology

Honorable record for the country and unprecedented for Shahid Rajaee University

Publish article of a member of the university faculty in one of the world’s most respected journals

According to the Public Relations of the University, Dr. Mehdi Nikamal, associate professor of the Department of Physics at Shahid Rajaee University, along with researchers from other countries, published the article in the third non-medical journal of the world with an impact factor of about 40 (Nature Nanotechnology). According to the report, a researcher at Shahid Rajaee University in an international research project, in collaboration with researchers from the United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium, has successfully completed theoretical and empirical studies of the radiation of a beam of hydrogen atoms from white graphene nano-channels.

Dr. Mehdi Nikamal, a researcher and associate professor of physics at Shahid Rajaee University, had quantum computing experiments conducted at the University of Manchester, England. “In this regard, Dr. Nick has been working to calculate the energy barrier against the penetration of the straps and the propagation of thin nano-layers,” the results of which were published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology. The title of the valuable article by Dr.Nikama and his colleagues is as follows:

Transport of hydrogen isotopes through interlayer spacing in van der Waals crystals

The impact factor of this journal (Nature Nanotechnology) is higher than Science journal and close to 40, and it is considered to be the impact factor in the world’s third non-medical publication. This is the second time in the history of nanotechnology in Iran, a researcher from Iran has published an article in this journal. Earlier, only Dr. Mahmoudi from Tehran University of Medical Sciences was able to publish the article in collaboration with Harvard researchers. Dr. Mahmoudi now works at Harvard University.

Dr. Mehdi Nikakamal acted as the second-largest Nano-physicist in the country this year. He also published 4 articles in the journal of Nature Communications, which is the highest for the Shahid Rajai University.
